Dear Saint Rose Catholic School Families,

It is hard to believe that another school year will begin soon. Since my welcome letter last year, an amazing number of notable events and accomplishments have occurred in our school and parish community.

This school year the faculty, staff and school families begin our accreditation renewal through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  Please watch for surveys and requests for participation in our accreditation process. The school's current full term accreditation is a testament to the presence of the Holy Spirit, our solid academic offerings and the dedication of our wonderful faculty and staff.

Our students logged a notable forty-eight hundred hours of service to the community and raised over twelve thousand dollars for charities outside the school community, serving the less fortunate. A record number of families have enrolled the second generation of Saint Rose Catholic School students and several alumni have returned to serve our students as teachers and teaching assistants. The student ITBS scores showed positive growth for the eleventh year in a row and continue to outpace all other school averages in the North County.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the William Clark family for their generous donation dedicated to the preservation of our Fine Arts Programs. This blessed donation coupled with the highly successful "Auction" fundraiser allowed our school to once again offer drama, music, choir and art throughout the grades for the 2007-2008 school year. We would also like to thank the Weyrich family for their continual support of our B-B-Q.  The funds generated from the B-B-Q as well as the Weyrich Family Foundation Endowment have allowed our school to continue providing scholarships.

Supply lists and family handbooks were mailed out to all families during the summer. If you did not receive a supply list or handbook, please contact the school office. We still have enrollment positions available in all grades except preschool and grade seven. Please spread the good news about Saint Rose Catholic School to anyone interested and encourage them to contact my office for an enrollment interview.
